What it does

🔤

Spell mode

Type any text and get the phonetic spelling instantly. Handles digits, punctuation, and accented letters, plus a glanceable A–Z / 0–9 reference grid.

📞

In-call bubble

A chat-head appears during phone calls — drag it anywhere, tap to expand the spell panel. Exactly when you need it, without leaving the call.

🌐

Multiple alphabets

NATO/ICAO by default, plus US Police and the German Funkalphabet. Long-press any letter to swap in your own code word — “L as in London.”

🔊

Text-to-speech

Hear the spelling read aloud with on-device speech — works fully offline.

Saved queries

Keep frequently-spelled strings — a name, a booking code, a license plate — one tap away, including inside the in-call bubble.

🔒

Private by design

Spellbound never reads phone numbers, contacts, or call logs — it only detects that a call is active, so the bubble can appear.

Why Spellbound?

You’re on the phone, spelling out your name, an email address, or a booking code — and suddenly it’s “S as in… Sam? Sun?” Spellbound gives you the right words instantly, so the person on the other end gets it right the first time.

And because the moment you need it is mid-call, Spellbound comes to you: a small floating bubble appears during calls, expanding into the full spell panel with a tap. No fumbling to switch apps while someone waits on the line.
